Remember
this? Well, our new deck was finally finished on Monday May 23rd. It was a long 6 week process, and we're happy to be done. I'll say it again (as I know I've said it before), I strongly dislike contractors!!

| It really unnerved me to have doors that led to certain death. We put bright orange tape on the locks to make sure the kids didn't try to jump out the windows. |

| Our new deck! It's slightly larger than our last one and has a glass corner to protect the grill from the wind. Well, it sort of does its job! |

The boys have enjoyed having the new deck. Finn likes to go out and play first thing and Kai loves the view. Now we have to figure out what to put on it!

Congratulations on surviving the contractors! It looks like you're really going to enjoy your beautiful new deck! It will be so worth the stress.
Oh, it's not over. Just this week I noticed a very obvious and ridiculous problem with the deck. I just did my research tonight and feel that I have enough ground to pursue it. So, I sent an email to the contracto asking him to fix it. We'll see what he says. If not, I *may* push it further. I paid a whole lot of money for this deck and it better be at least flat/level!!!
The deck looks fantastic! Even my kids ooh'd and ahh'd over it. I'm sorry to read there is a problem. I hope it gets fixed without a fight. You really don't need a new challenge!
