Gosh, I've had these pictures ready for blogging for a month and just haven't done it. And now it's almost April and I can't remember much about January! Seriously, my intentions are to get this going again, but I seem to lack the discipline. I will figure it out!
Anyway, I finished up painting Finn's room and was ready to move on to the bathroom. I actually don't have any pictures of the bathroom but I just used the leftover gray from Finn's room and then did the ceiling white (it's amazing what a white ceiling can do!). I finished it off with a fluffy and super soft long gray rug and some black Star Wars towels and a couple of Star Wars canvases to go with the Star Wars shower curtain. My boys love their Star Wars bathroom!
So, while the bathroom is done, Finn's floor remained like this. The foundational slab has settled leaving this gap between the floor and the drywall. We decided to rip up the carpet and have someone come to repair the cement. That just got done yesterday (end of March) and it is finally ready for some new carpet! We are very close to our boys having their own rooms.
Finn's toes had a rough go in January. Luckily some steriods and so Rodan and Fields soothe has fixed it up. But it sure looked painful there for a few days!
Finn painted his letters lawn party green and they will hang on the gray wall. I'm excited to see this come together.
Finn's feet after about a 10 days of treatment. The amount of skin that peeled off as we did this was unreal. But at least they were feeling better.
We have really enjoyed having 1pm church. Our morning is leisurely and yet everyone gets a shower and we have time to play. We get lunch in, treatments in, play time, and just general good together time. I'm a big, big fan of this 1pm slot with the ages my kids are at right now!
A ward friend gave us these old cassette tapes (and a player) about different gospel topics. Bree enjoys sitting in her corner and listening to them at times. The have some cute songs and are co-written by the same lady who wrote Gethsemane (that all of the Primaries are singing right now).
In January our combined YW activity was an un-birthday party and I was put in charge of teaching the girls to make cake pops. I brought some in that were in various stages of being done, including these that were ready for dipping.
Finn's treatment meter as of January. Wow!
After 2 weeks of treatment Finn's feet finally looked good!
Finally, we had preschool at our house on January 31st and our letter was "Q", so I made some "quicksand". It was vanilla pudding, vanilla oreas crumbled up, and some fish that were sinking in the quick sand.
