A Family Outing

Earlier this year we got a family membership to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science.  We have had several days that we had planned on going up, but had other things come up, so we decided to take advantage of Reid's time off of work and the Christmas break to make the trip.  I didn't get too many pictures because my phone died in the middle of the day (I need to take it in to get fixed!) but we do have a few shots of the day.  We ended up splitting up after lunch so Finn could play in the kids' Discovery Center and Kai went off with Reid to see the Gems and the Space Zone.  We still have two visitor tickets so if anyone wants to come to the museum with us, let us know!

Since we always end up at the Health exhibit last, we decided to start there this time.  The kids loved this station where you could sprint across a small area and it would track you and tell you how fast you ran and how big your stride was, etc.  The tiny person at the front of this screen (running 2.7 MPH) is Bree. She really got a kick out of running across the area like the big kids!

There was also an area where you could do lab experiments.  This was one where you could see your check cells.  Finn started doing it but eventually freaked out and decided he didn't want anything to do with it.  So Reid and Kai stayed behind and played scientist.  We discovered it's good to go to this area early because this lab area is pretty open and you can do a few experiments.

This was one about food I think

She insisted on doing it all herself
I believe Reid was telling Kai to look like he was holding it, but clearly he didn't understand the instructions
