Chocolate Chip Cookies

While I wish I had a picture, this story is just too cute not to share!

Kai loves chocolate, especially chocolate chips (well, and M&Ms, brownies, kisses, etc.). So Sunday after dinner I gave him a chocolate chip cookie and left to do the dishes. Reid was overseeing the cookie eating which turned out to be hilarious. Apparently Kai began to pick the chocolate chips out of the cookie (a normal habit of his) and my normally extremely patient husband tried to talk him into eating the cookie and not just the chips. It was funny to me to listen to how many different ways he was trying to talk Kai into eating that cookie, and how flabbergasted he was that he wasn't making any headway. In a last ditch effort Reid said "Kai, I KNOW you like the cookie." Kai's quick retort was issued at the top of his lungs "I LIKE THE CHOCOLATE CHIPS!" At this point, both Reid and I lost it with laughter. Don't mess with Kai, he knows what he likes!
