Kai says so many cute things these days, that Reid and I have a new word--"blogworthy". Those stories that are cute or funny instantly become dubbed "blogworthy". This is one of those stories.
On our way back from Casa Chimayo after Joe's wedding, Kai and I were riding in the back seat with my mom and brother in the front. They were in a conversation of their own and I was watching Kai dig for gold in his nose. Once he was successful, his little finger came out and said "boogie". (Yeah, gross, I know.) He then began to try to place the boogie back in his nose. I personally thought that was pretty funny and alerted my family to the proceedings. About a minute later, I look over and inspect Kai's finger to find nothing--the boogie had gone somewhere else. At the same time, I got a sharp pain in the joint of my finger and I quickly retreated, placing my knuckle in my mouth and looking for a cut of some sort. Kai, who had been quiet the whole time, took just that moment to blurt out to the whole car, "Mommy ate the boogie!" Of course, my mom and brother heard that one and the whole car dissolved into laughter. I promise, it's not true!! And to prove it, Kai accused me of eating a screwdriver yesterday. Do you really think I could eat a screwdriver, or my child's boogie?? Ewwww!!!
