We Have Been Busy

We have been busy this month, just not busy taking pictures.  The weather has definitely thrown us for a loop and as a result Kai had at least 4 snow days from school in about a 2 week period.  Snow days are generally relaxing and fun for us, but sometimes I have to drag both of them out with me, too.  I love these pictures from one of our snow days, though.  The kids enjoyed being together and building a train out of our chairs.  Finn loves this game and when I'm busy in the kitchen he'll often start building a train and begging Kai to join him.  (Oh, and did I mention, they took these pictures themselves!)

I know they are silly pictures but it totally shows my boys at play.

Also this month I have been doing a lot of baking.  Probably way too much baking!  Our first project were these holiday thumbprint cookies.  They tasted pretty yummy, but the dough was a bit tough to work with.  We continued through the month with 2 pans of tiramisu, a giant gingerbread boy, snowman cookies, and a recipe from a friend called Pluckin' Bread (which is similar to monkey bread).  Of course, we also had others drop off goodies, too.  My kitchen is full and my body is a couple of pounds heavier!  Maybe I should stop buying Egg Nog by the gallon?!

The only picture I took of all of my baking.  Holiday Thumbprints
This month we've also been busying shopping and getting ready for Christmas.  To do so, we had to pull our decorations out of storage which resulted in the baby bouncer getting pulled out just to get out of the way.  Finn has re-discovered the bouncer and loves to climb in by himself.  He's even done his vest in the bouncer just for a change of pace.  The only problem is that he can't get back out.  He's just too cute!

More to come.....
